Hi Jim,
When I have to change things in my EXIF, I'm using the exiftool application
site: http://owl.phy.queensu.ca/~phil/exiftool/
To change the "copyrights" field, you have to use something like:
$ exiftool -copyright='Your name and phone number' *.NEF
Just make sure you are backing up everything before...

Since Darktable's XPM files are essential text files, is it safe to
presume it'd be safe to, say, use sed to change the phone number and
that it'd not alter the other properties or quality of the files? Has
