What distro?

I have used the NVidia provided drivers for > 10 years w/o this problem or
w/o noticing this problem since "opencl" has existed and having to install
"nvidia-modprobe", currently: 343.22

openSUSE Tumbleweed
darktable-1.7.0.1418684578.e4a31eb

sh ./NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-343.22.run -aqs
