I don't have a camera which produces DNG-RAW-files.
It is a DNG-conversion of RAWs from ORF-Olympus E-450, RW2-Panasonic G5.

Before I started using RAW I though using only one common Raw-Format 
would be a good idea. Later I found out that darktable doesn't like the 
ORF-format of my OLympus E-450.
Converted to DNG either by Linux DNG (digikam-kipi) or adobe's DNG 
converter solved that problem.

which isn't really a big problem as I don't mind that darktable's 
ratings aren't shown in digikam, but most annoying is the following:

It seems that the problem is related to DNGs produced by adobe's 
converter. No problem when converted within Linux programs.

I have GBs of digikam tagged photos and I like the Unix principle: One 
program for one task.
digikam for [extensive) tagging and darktable for raw-developing seems 
perfect.
