I found one and fixed it. It was not possible to resync the local copies
properly. I have also found an issue which was also in the previous
version where deleting images with local copies was not working.

Frankly I prefer people replying to all when I'm in the loop. But I know
some others don't like this :) 
BTW, I have just proposed a pull-request for this local-copy-first
feature. I do think this has a lot of benefits for the workflow you
described. I'm also interested as my pictures are in a network drive
which is lot slower than my local drive.
