If you set a particular value, then there's not really a better way than
"copy the raw settings". If you set it to "camera white balance", then
indeed a Copy/Paste will copy the raw settings, while one may expect it
to copy "camera white balance" and adapt to the image. I don't know any
way to do that. That seams doable (but I'm not a dt developer).

Most of the time, these "auto" buttons are only one-time setting: the
"auto" setting is computed at the time you press the button, and there's
no way to say whether the settings are the result of "auto" or whether
you set them manually.

I think one of the reason for that is that computing the "auto" settings
is relatively expensive computationally so you don't want that in the
pixel pipeline (that would make dt slow whenever you change any module
before the "auto" one in the pipeline").
