If you set a particular value, then there's not really a better way than "copy the raw settings". If you set it to "camera white balance", then indeed a Copy/Paste will copy the raw settings, while one may expect it to copy "camera white balance" and adapt to the image. Most of the time, these "auto" buttons are only one-time setting: the "auto" setting is computed at the time you press the button, and there's no way to say whether the settings are the result of "auto" or whether you set them manually.
