The next version will be 2.0. It's currently tagged as 1.7 but it will be released as 2.0. This was done to reflect the major changes done (the GTK 3 port and new thumbnail cache being two major changes). 1.7 reflects the current head of the git master branch. When 2.0 is released, 2.1 will represent the head of the git master branch (though this is an approximation; the branch for 2.0 may actually diverge from master for a while pre-release). Note that darktable follows the odd/even versioning scheme: odd is development, even is release. > Where do I find the differences between 1.6.9 and the git-1.7?
