Very good point. :-S

I updated git (url = git://github.com/darktable-org/darktable.git) and
assumed it would be the latest dev version I'd build with ./build.sh. Seems
it's not, then? (Or is it just the prefix 1.7.0 that, for some reason, is
wrong, and the +3401~g301affb part would show it's actually current?)
