Thats assuming that the US military can make a good informed decision
though. :-)

I heard about that tank story a couple of years back.  Is it actually true
or is it just marketing hype?  I spoke to a couple of science type friends
about it and they thought that it was a bit silly sounding that a tank
creates an EMP blast each firing.  But then again my friends don't design
military grade weapons.

So is it actually true?

As you know, I'm biased, but:

there are faster, but its up there.
there are NOT more robust, AFAIK, in terms of data recovery. The US militery
use it in the M1 Tank - when they fire the gun, all PC's reboot 'cos of an
EMP. Interbase got chosen 'cos it comes straight back up....
