Dennis replied to subject 'Hive/Impala connections won't work' ------------------- I looked at your log (to anyone following along; I got Jordan's log outside this thread), and there's nothing that really gives any tells. It seems like _something_ is waiting for a network connection (processing, I/O and memory hangs are usually more stutters than long, hard hangs). You mentioned that you are using another cluster than the default specified in HADOOP_CONF_DIR/YARN_CONF_DIR. Is the default cluster reachable? Maybe the Hive JDBC driver is also looking at the environment variables and trying to interogate the cluster set up in there. Do you have the Hive beeline client on your Mac? That one also uses JDBC, so in theory it should experience the same issues, if my theory is correct. ------------------- View the topic online to reply - go to https://datacleaner.org/topic/1143/Hive-Impala-connections-won%27t-work -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "DataCleaner-notify" group.
