Hi all, I've a need on a project for a geographical type (PostGIS on PostgreSQL) and was considering just going the whole way and making it a dm-type. I can't see an obvious way though to hook into column generation (creating the geo column on postgis requires a special procedure to be executed after the table has been created)
Anyone have any ideas on this? I was going to use GeoRuby as the main object and just write a dm-type to shunt between the database and it.
