I just set up TikiWiki (it was easier to install than MediaWiki) on http://www.dpstuff.com .

I'll try to figure out how to use it in the next few days and then see if anyone else is interested in using it.

I forgot about using the slash and the .str file (and never knew about the " . "). And with the bat2com or exe converter, you have taken this a step further (and better)!

What do you think about having a wiki or knowledgebase to gather together (and add to) dp developer (and related) resources? I would volunteer to donate a website for this.

I presume you have created MyApp.exe as a runtime exe. I think you need to pass the STR file name along with forward slashes on the switches eg,

    MyApp.exe MyStr.str /z=51

or if you do not want to put the STR on the commandline try

    MyApp.exe . /z=51 with a . where the STR name would have gone

If you want to go one step further in obfuscation then try a bat2exe converter http://www.xmission.com/~comphope/dutil.htm

and create a batchfile MyProg.bat with the contents

    @echo off

    MyApp.exe . /z=51

and then run

    bat2exe MyProg.Bat

and then file

    MyProg.com will be created, seems a misnomer to me, as it should be a bat2com converter... but if you need an .exe file you can use a com2exe converter... http://www.programmersheaven.com/download/3105/download.aspx

Or you could try one which does create a real bat2exe http://www.battoexe.com in one hit but is not free

I forgot how to open a particular menu with Z= .

I tried C::\MyApp\MyApp.exe z=51 intending to open my application with menu 51 but this didn't work. Any suggestions?

Incidentally has anyone considered putting up a knowledge base for DP?
