Ok, I will explain it further. Setting Idle Sensitivity to Low pegs cpu at 100%. Setting "belownormal" does NOT change this, BUT if anything else wants the cpu, dp gives it up if dp is minimized.
So, you will always SEE 100% cpu use in the task manager when dp is loaded (e.g., your pictures). But if you generate 3D renderings or use CAD (which we do here), then you will not notice any difference in time to execute commands, etc. You can test this by executing tasks that take some time and measuring what happens. My users find this preferable to other methods, but if you are happy doing things differently, I am not trying to persuade you to change. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, November 14, 2008 12:11 PM To: Dataperfect Users Discussion Group Subject: Re: [Dataperf] Lookups and XP Hmm... I tried to run START "dp" /belownormal dp.exe in a batch command on my XP-PRO system, but the result was negative.
