Hi All,

This one I'm struggling to explain why. This was discovered by being away for a
few days and someone else was printing our factory orders and wondered why the
total price of each order on the printout was incorrect.

The factory Production order report is complex with serveral nested subreports
but the Final Total dollars comes straight from a field in the entry panel
using the F4 select function in the final footer section. The calculation of
this field is correct and displays correctly in the panel.
Here is the problem. I have since the conference in 2004 always printed this
report by being on the record and using the ALT F7 function to print that
record (Learn't at the conference). It prints with the correct info and the
total in the report agrees with the total displayed in the field in the panel.
i.e. All is as it should be.

However if the same report is printed by using the Shft F7 procedure, and then
setting search conditions to print the very same record, the total is totally
erroneous and I cannot find from where this info is coming from.

As an example the total in the panel field for record S38075 is $206.10. Alt F7
prints the report consistently with $206.10 as the total. But if you use Shft
F7 and set the search condtions to print record S38075, the report prints out
the total consistently as $712.78.
Not just any record they all print out an erroneous total if Search conditions
are used. Alt F7 always matches the panel field and Shft F7 is alway is own
unique incorrect amount. Its obviously getting the info from somewhere within
the record - but where, and why any difference between the two different print
methods. (Printing to file gives the same results).

I have definitely added panels within this database and subreports within this
report since I changed procedures in 2004 but up until then the shft F7 method
of printing worked fine without any errors. Any ideas where I should start
looking??

Regards
