Hi Brian,
Thanks for that, it looks fine.
I had also tired PSPad but it had more features than I needed but
Notepad++ seems just about right.

Hi Michael,
You might like to try this open source editor. Notepad++
http://www.notepad-plus-plus.org/ for Hex Editing you need to
install the Hex Editor plugin.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/npp-plugins/files/Hex%20Editor/ You
can edit Hex in Unicode or ANSI, just copy the relevant DLL intop the
Programs Plugins Folder.
Bye

Thanks Lennart,
It looks interesting, unfortunately only the Pro version shows non
printable character but has too many other features for what I need.
I want something that is similar to WPOffice Editor in Binary mode
with Reveal Codes displayed so that I can see Hex codes but don't
really want them to dominate the display.

Can anyone recommend a Windows 7 alternative to the WPOffice Editor
used in Binary mode please?
