Peter - VDos, which others here will describe better than I can, has
been a steadfast and dependable option for me, allowing me to run DP
under all Windows platforms. It is a bit tricky to configure at first
but it works well, at least on a single user platform. I don 't know
about the implication of Windows networking except that my small
network uses it. The downside for me is that the speed at which
imports and reports run is slowed down tremendously. I get by that by
maintaining Vista machines to run straight from DOS for those
purposes. My laptops and a few of our workstations however, strictly
access DP through VDos. I hope this helps.

Hi All,
This summer it will be 21 years since I first started with DP to
run our family business Boekestijn transport & logistics in the
Netherlands. Currently working from 4 countries, 6 locations, 30+
users, all in one DP system which runs on a windows 2003 server.
Our hardware supplier is making the statement that within 6 months
there is an urgent need to upgrade our servers to windows server
2012.
They have tested several solutions for dosboxes and the result is
negative. But… I don’t believe them that this will kill our dos
application.
Any ideas from the DP user group? Please help and let good old dos
/ DP live forever.
A cry for help from Holland
Grtz Peter Boekestijn
