You should be able to run your DP application in vDos with Windows XP/2000 
and later, 32 or 64 bit, networking/multi-user is fully supported.
vDos’s installation includes the DP TestDrive program to demonstrate it’s 
working out-of-the-box without specific settings on the target platform. 
So configuring it for other DP applications should be a snap.
Emulating a CPU in software indeed causes vDos to run DOS applications 
much slower than NTVDM running natively. But that shouldn’t degrade the 
overall user experience as the application still mostly is waiting for the 
user and disk i/o is the main bottleneck for a well-designed database 
program.
