Hi Don, Jacques and all,

Thanks again for your thoughts and suggestions.

I've now got DP up and running under VDOS and can access my business database once more. That's good as I need to send out a couple of customer invoices for work I've done with clients while my system was down.

Ok about the Raspberry connecting to other screens Jacques. Whilst I did work for thirty years in the IT field up until the mid 1990s, these days I like to keep my IT as simple as possible and concentrate on my employment and disability work. I'm not up to date with IT these days, but it does help to understand what is going on and what might be possible for other people. For people who use screenreader technology it isn't just a matter of having screen content spoken, but more about how the layout of that content is presented; this is a very difficult area for people who are totally blind. Back in the days of DOS a screenreader could make using DP very easy, but as technology has progressed so that ease of use has flown out the window.

Thanks again.

Cheers,

Brendan.
