Yes, that is the eventual goal. I admit that I have not been paying
attention, and I don't really know the state of things right now. Is
DateTime at a mature-enough stage where I could do this without annoying
my users - all 6 of them ;-) - when things break?

I'm sufficiently out of the loop, and absorbed enough in other projects,
that I can confidently say that I won't get to this this month, and
probably won't get to it next month. If you want to send patches, or
commit them yourself (I think you have commit access, right?) I would be
more than happy to roll releases when you tell me to.

I sincerely want to get back into developing date/time thingies, but
life has been unusually full of late, and this shows no signs of abating
any time soon.
