Too bad we can't just get a free copy of Perforce. I really enjoyed it at my previous work.
Now I need to go read about svn.

I'd convert the existing CVS repo, and since we don't have any branches (AFAIK), it should work fine (tags convert ok, IIRC).
Subversion runs on Windows (and there's a binary installer), Linux, BSDs, Solaris, and Mac OS X.
