I don't think any of the 3 pre-built Codec Servers shipped with the DVEVM include imaging codecs (although the codecs are likely available separately from TI and others).
However, the Codec Engine VISA APIs include image support, and they feel like the other VISA APIs (create/delete/process/control). For a too-simple example, you can refer to the audio_copy example provided in Codec Engine's examples/apps/audio_copy. These examples use the auddec_copy and audenc_copy "copy codecs", also distributed with CE.
