Phil,

 

Are you sure that this 32-bit wide PBBPR register can safely be written
using two separate byte writes? 

 

The idea itself is OK: we used "wr32 00000020". The value 0x20 is
according the latests DM6446 errata chapter 2.1.2, and it did prevent
Audio and Ethernet TX underflows.

This is a known problem....

 

Compile the attached program, put it in /usr/sbin  on the DM355 & do a
'writeb 20000020 0 10' in the system startup (for example add to
/etc/rc.d/rc.local)
