And perhaps not so oddly ... in my mailbox this AM
was a patch to handle some 64-bit extensions to the
MTD core, which seem like they would likely remove
that 2 MByte limit.  :)

They got checked into the MTD tree last week.

The MTD tree still has those two constants too-small
for 4KB pages though.  And that chip ID issue will
need addressing too...
