FYI... In the davinci git tree[1] I've created a branch named 'staging/upstream-cleanup'[2] where I am testing some misc. rework and cleanup patches that I am planning to do before submitting core code upstream.
The only thing of potential interest there is the first patch which drops all the davinci-specific TAGs. These are unwelcome upstream, and are currently not used for very much, so I simply dropped them. That left the board.h basically empty, so the 2nd patch drops board.h and moves the MMC stuff to mmc.h.
