Well, amixer is an ALSA tool. It obviously won't work with OSS. Sounds like you are using the TI LSP 1.2/MV Pro 4.0. The mixer can be changed with ioctl. Take a look at mixer_ioctl() in sound/oss/dm644x/davinci-audio-aic33.c. My knowledge of the OSS driver is quite limited. I'm probably not the best person for OSS related questions.
