Kish:
There are a couple of options:
1. Check if all your application can be bought down normally ( close all open
cursors, close all statement, commit, con.close).
When all applications is released, perform your backup.
2. Turn on Archive logging for your WAS db and do online backup. (No need to
do any application cleanup, bouncing WAS server etc.)
