Siresh,� I think you need to verify your Quick Beginngs for V6.1 client
install.
As far as I remembr, you cannot connect aV6.1 client to V2.1 server.
Normal support from IBM in different versions is two levels down, one level
up.� This mewans:
Vx client can connect to Vx-2 server.� V6.1 client therefore would allow
you to connect to V5.2 or V5.0 server.
I may be off by one version but the Quick Beginnings and/or the release
notes for your V6.1 client should tell you.

The CCA and Generate Profile require the SERVER to be at V5.0 at least if
not V5.2.
All of these functions were V5.0 and up for servers.
