------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Aug 7 09:10:34 +0000 2007 ------- oj: uh, no. please don't. system-hsqldb works when you have hsqldb.jar in classes and apply the workaround. system-hsqldb will work when you do it with a newer hsqldb. I still rely on it. I still use it (with the workaround to remove the file://usr/share/java/hsqldb.jar etc. from jvmfwk3rc) I agree that it's broken out of the box right now and that it needs fixed/worked around currently, but that's *no* argument to remove the *complete* check from configure. If your patch makes it into hsqldb 1.8.0.8, it will work again and we can improve the check later to check for the right version. Anyone else will find this issue and know what to do. system-hsqldb is mainly used by packagers anyway, and they should know where to look (here). Users normally don't build their OOo on their own and if they do they normally don't use system-hsqldb. Exceptions prove the rule, but those people should be able to find this issue, too (summary and description imho is clear enough to find it via IZ). Don't break distris packages which can work around it/don't break stuff which magically will be fixed with a new hsqldb in whatever distro for this.. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
