Okay, I have been trying things like modifying the Makefile. First I modified the
LDFLAGS and the LDDLFLAGS to point
to /usr/lib. This got me a little further, but still got an error about libwtc8.sl.
So i added -libwtc8 into LDLOADLIBS and
EXTRALIBS, and now when I run make it fails because it says ld: Can't find library for
-libwtc8
I checked and libwtc8.sl and libwtc8.a are located under
/dbdata/ORACLE/product/8.1.7/lib
It seems that this one shared library isn't being seen/discovered by the linker for
some reason?
Any more info/hints anyone can provide would be helpful. I will keep playing with it
on this end and let you know if I obtain
success..
