I don't use imap, but give this a whirl. I've only tested it to the extent
in setting up an IMAP account in Kmail and it logging on and showing me an
empty inbox.

You'll have to setup xinetd yourself, but it should be as simple as just
changing the path to the executable.

The 2 Makefile patches include my dbmail-ipop3 patch too, so you'll probably
need to have that source laying around in the directory when you build.
