Hey all, I do a direct database search because I use weDBmail (which talks directly to the DB). There are ~ 145000 messages in my db total, about 20000 of which are spread across my 12 folders. So when I do a search, you have to take that all into account. I just ran a search, and got my results in about 4.5 minutes (a little longer than I was hoping). That's on my Sparc Ultra5, running Debian stable on mysql. I'm sure it could be optimized, but I'm just throwing the info out there for you. dave
