pop3 and lmtp do running good enuf for production purposes. although you should regulary use the dbmail-util for db-maintance! (btw: why does dbmail-util not fix null messages?)

imapd ist not ready for production purposes. i can reproduce enormous stress on the mysql database. compare urself: without imapd: max 500 queries per second
with imapd: max 400000 queries per second
so if u dont have to use imapd you ll get happy with dbmail otherwise...
