I suspect that Jorge was not waiting 5 minutes to see if the timeout would
take effect. And that's for POP3. For IMAP we have a default timeout of
just over an hour!

Also, I started a thread about this on the dbmail-dev list. I think we've
got a rough consensus on configurable with a default of 60 seconds, and
not spend too much time arguing about it, since it Just Makes Sense (TM)
:-)

If anybody has any use case scenarios that would be seriously impacted by
a shorter timeout or things we haven't thought about that might make a
major difference, please let us know!
