I've tried to look for the solution to this problem to no avail. I don't usually deal with the server side of things, so I hope I'll be able to provide enough details of it so you can help me out. I have dbmail-2.2.x, squirrelmail client, fedora core 6, postfix. Using dbmail-lmtpd and dbmail-imapd. Recently, out of the blue, when I went to view a message I received an "ERROR: Connection dropped by IMAP server" and also another one about error in fetch query - can't remember exactly what it was. I went into the server and killed one of the dbmail-lmtpd processes and tried to restart it. Here's the weird thing - during the day, messages will be sent and received fine, but then at some point in the evening the only thing that will go in or out is the (wrong) date. From field says "Unknown", subject says "(No Subject)" and size is 0.1k. After several hours, the problem will be fixed, but all the emails sent during this time period (not sure how long) are missing, except for the date. Here are some of the errors that are coming up in the dbmail.err file:
I saw something similar on my server while it was doing an mysqldump. Not sure which DB engine you're using, but maybe something like that? If I recall correctly (it was many moons ago) it's that there was only the header record, and no body record, and in fact the header record was empty as well except for the dbmail generated stuff. dave -- Dave Logan http://www.digitalcoven.com/ When you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all. _______________________________________________ DBmail mailing list [email protected] https://mailman.fastxs.nl/mailman/listinfo/dbmail
