My admin came back and figured out the problem.  Made me happy. Here's what
he said, just in case anyone was curious what the actual issue was:

"Should be cleared up now. The server was running out of disk space while
doing nightly backups of all the sites, and it was screwing up DBMail
and Postfix."

The comments about this were greatly appreciated.  I really enjoy dbmail and
think it is a wonderful set of programs.
