One cluster is made up of 4 nodes (Virtuoso Server Instances) on a single box (DBpedia). The other one is an 8 node cluster spread across two machines. Net effect, the memory pool is larger and as a result we have more records in memory when cache has warmed up. The same config applies to: http://lod.openlinksw.com, in this case, you also have more across the wire bandwidth (than DBpedia-Live) due to its physical location etc..
