Dear DBpedia Users and Developers,
Since the Mediawiki version running on mappings.dbpedia.org was quite old
(2009) and posed a security problem as well as not allowing us to install
any new extensions, we decided to update it.
The update performed was from Mediawiki 1.16 Alpha to Mediawiki 1.23 LTS
[1].
Since DBpedia is running some custom extensions that also patch core files
of Mediawiki, the update was a bit difficult and time consuming. Please
report any errors you might encounter so we can address them.
