To clarify further (you posted the same link twice ;-) ), I meant the St jean ride: https://www.strava.com/activities/436393533 It is fine gravel after Chambly. I did that regularly with 23mm tires, no problems with my road bike. Wider tires will bring you comfort as for any road but I don't remember it being uncomfortable. I ride 28's now but it is for the MTL potholes more than for the gravel :-)
For the around the lake ride ( https://www.strava.com/activities/435890583 ), it is asphalt all the way IIRC.
