Yes. More precisely, I mean that currently espeakup doesn't fully control the volume. I can make espeakup thoroughly control the volume, and thus be able to reach maximum volume level through the shortcuts. But if I do that then changing the volume in amixer/alsamixer will get overriden by espeakup, so speakup's shortcuts for volume will be the only way to change the volume. Just like this is currently happening in the debian installer. Samuel
