Package: boot-floppies Version: N/A; Severity: grave On the first boot the apt configuration asks the user whether he wants to use non-us software and later it asks what protocol and server to use. I choose ftp and specified the server manually, choosing my local mirror. The problem then is that non-us will be fetched from http://non-us.debian.org/debian-non-US/dists/potato/non-US/... Of cause on my local network that doesn't work. For non-us the configuration script ignored all my input and went ahead anyway. It should ask whether to use the same server for non-US as for the rest or one of the non-US mirrors or manual input, what protocol to use (unless the mirror only has one) and where (unless its an official mirror). May the Source be with you. Goswin PS: I didn't quite try around to much, does the script ask where the mirror is located (which dir) when choosing a predefined mirror? PPS: By the way, that configuration for apt is great! -- System Information Debian Release: 2.2 Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux mose 2.4.0-test1-ac7 #20 Wed Jun 7 14:53:53 CEST 2000 i686 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
