I did manage to get a net admin here to unhide the essid for me and retest. Still no success. Other possibly relevant details: - wifi card is an Atheros AR9285 by Azurewave (1a3b:1089) using ath9k driver - the network is WPA2-PSK-TKIP+CCMP - my squeeze system (i.e. not the installer) associates fine with wpa_cli + wpa_supplicant syslog excerpts (sorry if my edit job is a bit choppy ... i found myself with no network and no way to mount a device to copy material to, so it is hand entered) relating to wlan0 from installer follow: netcfg[1680]: INFO: ethtool-lite: ethtool ioctl on wlan0 failed netcfg[1680]: WARNING ***: ethtool-lite: couldn't determine MII ioctl to use for wlan0 ... repeated several times ... netcfg[1680]: INFO: found no link on interface wlan0. netcfg[1680]: INFO: wlan0 is not associated.
