reassign 174360 debian-installer thanks The problem I described in boot-floppies is precisely reproduced in the current debian-installer code, except for the poor wording of the domain name question, which is much improved in d-i. My comments on the question sequence, and on the theory behind them, apply just as well to debian-installer, and I propose the same solution that I suggested in the original bug report.
The prioritised questions mechanism of debconf seems to have the potential to avoid some of the flexibility/simplicity problems, by avoiding the need to choose a single tradeoff point.
