Hi! At http://lml.bas.bg/~anton/partman you can find the first components and the documentation of a new partitioner for the Debian installer.
Currently the following things should be fixed: 1. Anna doesn't want to unpack the udebs automatically. I have no idea what caused this. In order to test the udebs in real situation I used to unpack them manualy (udpkg --unpack <package_name>). 2. There are no progress bars. This can be annoying. I will fix this soon. 3. Create package partman-ext3. This is easy and I will do this. Currently the partitioner supports only ext2, swap, fat16 and fat32. 4. Add support for reiserfs. I expect this to be trivial provided we have udeb for libreiserfs0.3-0. 5. Add international support. 6. See how the partitioner works on slow machines.
