All modules were loaded just fine but then the installer says "Scanning /dev/discs/disc0/part3 (in My eBooks/) .." and stop at 30% scanning. It remains there for about 5-10 min and then starts the scanning again until the 30% stage. /var/log/messages reports the modules loaded (last entry: sd_mod) /var/log/syslog reports the following: ... user.notice hd-image-detect: Failed mounting /dev/discs/disc0/part2 syslog.warn klogd: VFS: Can't find ext2 filesystem on dev ide0(3,3) syslog.err klogd cramfs: wrong magic syslog.warn klogd: Unable to identify CD-ROM format. syslog.warn klogd: VFS: Can't find ext3 filesystem on dev ide0(3,3) syslog.warn klogd: sh-2021: reiserfs_read_super: ca not find reiserfs on ide0(3,3) user.notice hd.image-detect: Mounted /dev/discs/disc0/part3 for first pass The first message is presumable OK since there ist an ntfs on /dev/hda2. (Same message are also reported for /dev/hda1). The following messages also make sense, since there ist a vfat fs installed on /dev/hda3. However, the installation hangs on the final user.notice message Any help will be greatly appreciated.
