Why is the /etc/init.d/samba init script enabled at all? There should only be a /etc/init.d/samba script, no symlinks in /etc/rc?.d/, i.e. the service is not started on boot and stopped on shutdown. If it is, then this is either a local modification or a bug in the package. > Question for michael were is the per daemon waiting time configurable?
