Please consider applying this change (launch amavisd with LANG=C) to

security team is appreciated on this).

Out of the three init.d scripts, which one need this change?

/etc/init.d/amavis-mc
/etc/init.d/amavisd-snmp-subagent
/etc/init.d/amavis

Once I have a working tested patch, I will contact the release team
about a stable update. However first I need to be sure I understand
which files I should be updating.

amavisd-snmp-subagent.

At the site where the issue was discovered, I only use /etc/init.d/amavis. But from reading the docs of amavis-mc, that init script may also be affected. As amavisd-snmp-subagent does not launch AV scanner child processes, I'd say nothing is needed there.

Thus, I agree with your guess.

Greets,
Mike
