So far this seems to be an isolated issue, possibly hardware related or (desktop) environment related. E.g. udev works just fine here on all the hardware I tested it with. If it turns out to be a more general problem, we can indeed bump the issue. As I wrote Peter, it's best if you file this issue upstream at https://github.com/systemd/systemd/issues -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
