I've submitted a change in 243-8 which allows non-native binaries to be executed from udev rules. This should fix the issue for most/all affected users. I want to keep this bug report open though, because I think the new behaviour in udev of aborting processing udev rules as soon as we hit an error is to brittle. We should continue processing udev rules. Let's hope I can convince upstream about this. Downgrading the severity though, as this should no longer affect so many users.
