The first possibly problematic thing that I see is that iputils-arping is installed in /usr/bin/ while arping is installed in /usr/sbin/ I believe that this should be solved by installing a link from /usr/bin/arping to /usr/sbin/arping; and make the alternative be /usr/sbin/arping The second would be in case the maintainers of arping refuse to accept a patch or implement alternatives support. > I'd like to determine more definitively whether my memory is accurate > or > not before we proceed with this work, so please give me some time.
