Package: xserver-xorg-core Version: 1:1.0.2-4 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable
xserver-xorg-input-all does not depend on any other packages and there are no other xserver-xorg-input-* packages. Thus the xserver cannout find modules like kbd and mouse that are necessary for operation. This seems to be the case only in the amd64 repository, but I have not tested on other archs. Typical output looks like: (==) Using config file: "/etc/X11/xorg.conf" (EE) Failed to load module "glx" (a required submodule could not be loaded, 0) (EE) Failed to load module "nvidia" (module does not exist, 0) (EE) Failed to load module "kbd" (module does not exist, 0) (EE) Failed to load module "mouse" (module does not exist, 0) (EE) No drivers available. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.15.1 Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages xserver-xorg-core depends on: ii libc6 2.3.6-6 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libfontenc1 1:1.0.1-2 X11 font encoding library ii libxau6 1:1.0.0-2 X11 authorisation library ii libxdmcp6 1:1.0.0-3 X11 Display Manager Control Protoc ii libxfont1 1:1.0.0-3 X11 font rasterisation library ii x11-common 1:7.0.11 X Window System (X.Org) infrastruc ii xserver-xorg-input-all 1:7.0.11 the X.Org X server -- input driver ii xserver-xorg-video-all 1:7.0.11 the X.Org X server -- output drive ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3-11 compression library - runtime Versions of packages xserver-xorg-core recommends: pn xkeyboard-config <none> (no description available) -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
