There is no effect; the extra icon still appears. I made another experiment -- I started pan from a terminal and added its icon to the Clip at Workspace #1. Then quit pan and tried to start it again by double-clicking the icon -- it showed error "Cannot execute the command org.gnome.pan" (translation approximate; I use Bulgarian locale). Not good. I changed the path to "pan" and it works, so there's an easy workaround. Two other GTK programs that I regularly use (gnome-terminal and evolution) have exactly the same problem but apparently I changed the path in the settings long time ago and forgot. Reassigning the bug as there's nothing to be fixed in pan; it is merely following the advice to set application-id as documented in GLib/GTK. I also raise the severity to "normal" as ideally Window Maker should not create docked applications that cannot be launched.
